Information about the new Construction Products Regulation (CPR) and how it will affect you.

CPR becomes an EU legal requirement from 1st July 2017 and will cover the fire performance and other aspects of various products used in construction. This means that many electrical cables used as permanent wiring in a building or civil works will have to be tasted and classified and will therefore carry the CE mark.

From July, you will be able to purchase CPR compliant products from us that have been graded from Class Dc.v. to F. It will be up to the specifier or installer to follow IEE guidelines and select the appropriate cable for an installation.

All suppliers will be require to provide a Declaration of Performance (DoP) to present the critical information about the cable such as manufacturer’s name, product type and class met. Therefore, it is vital you know what is expected from your cable supplier – without the DoP you cannot be certain that you are buying a CPR compliant product.

A large number JC ,,Lietkabelis” products will be compliant come 1st July. We’ll make sure you are kept up to date are always well informed about the product you are purchasing.
